The characters you see above were created by Emi at Strange Candy. The pics above are works I sent in as fan art.
This is my very first full cg character, mind you I only did this with a mouse. The shading took forever and that's when I decided to get a graphic tablet.
This set of images are also full cg done, but on a program on the net called PaintChat. As you can see the images get better in quaility as I learn how to use the program better.
Well as you can see it takes me forever to get my pics developed. In case you can't tell, one of the pumpkins is Ruki and the other one is Calumon, both are from Digimon season three. The last pic is a special holiday comic, more to follow :-D.
Since Keenspace was upgrading I couldn't really update my comics, so instead I was on paint chat drawing some pictures. Hope you like XD. I've just added to more pics, the toner function on paint chat is much needed in other programs. Also if you haven't noticed one of the pics is signed Canada-X. That's my handle in paint chat. This set of images are what I entered in the KungFool colouring contest. They are all a little different from each other. Image 7 is the one that was chosen to be in the contest. Feb. 23' 02 the results of the contest are in, I got HONOURABLE MENTION, if you don't believe me, CLICK HERE SUCKA.
This set uses a pervious pic from p-chat. The first image is the b/w image but all fixed up. The second is the coloured verision of that pic. I don't like what I've done with the hair. I'll redo that at a later time. I know she's missing ear rings and a bow on her back, but hey it's not who you think it is, or is it.
I'm setting up a progress set here. The first is the image resized and fixed up, yes some of the lines needed to be fixed up. The next image is my base colours that are going to be shaded and worked on. The third one well as you can see is quite different, something was just not quite right, so it was either remove the head or add the whole character. So instead I added her to the image, a bold move, a risky move but it's only by taking a risk can I hope to stick out from the competion. In the fourth image, I added the shading and what not, but not to the hair since it's usually the hardest thing and by doing the clothes first you get a better idea of where the light sorce is. The fifth I finished up shading the hair. Now in the sixth image, to give it a sense of depth I added a shadow, the shadow also helps define the direction of the light sorce. Almost done, I just added the background, believe it or not a good background can make or break an image. Finnally I just resized the image so most people could veiw it on their screens with out scrolling around. IF you are wondering how I did in the Kungfool Colouring Contest #3 well I got HONOURABLE MENTION but best of all I was declared the WINNER.
This is fanwork that I summitted to Poe who has this great comic Explotation Now (link on my home page). The characters name is Bimbo Moneymaker. But the e-mail I sent bounced back (mail box was full). So if this happens again I will do it through the forum. In case your wondering, just getting to the Inked stage took about 2.5 hours, then the fixing and cleaning of the image took about 2 hours, colouring took about 4 hours. All for a total of 8.5 hours, the last six were done from 9pm to 3am, yesterday(Mar. 6'02)so I could get some stuff up.
